Horrifying Video! Man Chokes Woman With Belt, Drags Her Behind Car And Rapes Her On New York Street

The South Bronx community was rocked by a disturbing incident on May 1st, when a 45-year-old woman fell victim to a horrifying assault. The New York Police Department revealed that the woman was walking near East 152nd Street and Third Avenue around 3 a.m. when a stranger approached her from behind and swiftly placed a belt around her neck, rendering her unconscious before subjecting her to a sexual assault.

The crime captured on CCTV footage shows the woman walking ahead of her attacker, who concealed his identity with a cloth over his face. The assailant then swiftly looped the belt over her head, dragging her along the sidewalk as she struggled for air. Despite her attempts to resist, the woman was overpowered and dragged between two parked cars, where the assault escalated further.

The video was posted online with little information besides that it happened in New York.

Following the assault, the man fled towards Melrose Avenue, evading capture and leaving the victim at the crime scene. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is currently in stable condition. Shockingly, the NYPD suspects that the assailant and the victim may have know each other. And the man was well aware of her daily schedule.

The heinous nature of the assault has left Bronx Street residents in disbelief, with many expressing shock and outrage upon viewing the distressing video footage. As the accused remains at large, the community is grappling with fear and uncertainty, calling for swift justice and enhanced safety measures.

Similar crime in NYC

Just last month, a man waited in a Manhattan apartment building before assaulting a 23-year-old woman as she returned home. That man, who has yet to be identified, placed the victim in a chokehold position before forcing her into a hallway. He allegedly threatened to shoot her if she screamed.

Also last month, a Bronx man forced his way inside a woman’s home and struck her in the face several times before sexually assaulting her. He was identified as 31-year-old Malik Crocker. Jail records show he has not been arrested.

Data from the NYPD shows that 511 rapes have been reported throughout the city as of May 5. The vast majority occurred in the Bronx.
