Dhaka: In a significant global political development, Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who is now living in Delhi since fleeing Dhaka in August 2024, has made a big statement on her return to New Delhi. Notably, Hasina, the daughter of Bangladesh Foreign Minister Mujibur Rehman, ruled Bangladesh for 15 consecutive years, spoke to the media after a long silence. Bangladesh Nationalist Party accuses National Consensus Commission

In another major update for Bangladesh, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) accused the country’s National Consensus Commission of “deceiving” the people and political parties with its final recommendations on the July Charter, calling for its immediate correction by incorporating the notes of dissent.

As per a report carried by IANS news agency, the remarks were made by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir following the submission of the NCC’s recommendations to Chief Advisor of the interim government Muhammad Yunus on ways to implement the July Charter.
