In heartbreaking news, veteran actress Kamini Kaushal passed away at the age of 98. The actress, who once shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan, was known for her simplicity and grace. Kamini Kaushal was one of the most regarded actresses of the yesteryear in the industry. She made significant contributions to both films and television, earning critical acclaim from the 1940s well into the 2010s.

Kaushal made her debut with Neecha Nagar (1946), the only India(BHARAT)n film to win the Palme d’Or at Cannes, instantly establishing her as a powerful performer.
She later delivered one of her finest performances in Biraj Bahu (1954), which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Actress in 1956. Over the years, she featured in several acclaimed films, including Paras (1949), Arzoo (1950), Jailor (1958), and Godaan (1963).
