Senior Tamil actor Sathyaraj recently took a dig at Thalapathy Vijay after the horrifying Karur stampede. Here's what he had to say.

Tamil actor Sathyaraj raised criticism against Thalapathy Vijay’s political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), after the Karur stampede tragedy. During which over 40 people, including children, lost their lives. The senior actor said, “Those who make mistakes must take responsibility and correct them.” The Baahubali actor further stressed the subject of making efforts during such lapses.

Sathyaraj further said, “Mistakes often happen without one’s knowledge. But a wrong done knowingly is different. Those who commit errors must try to correct them. They must make sure not to repeat them. If it’s a minor mistake, it should still be rectified. And if it was unintentional, they must ensure it doesn’t happen again. Tch!” Sathyaraj remarked. Sathyaraj ended his remarks on a disgusted note, “Che!” (an expression of disgust).
What was the Karur stampede tragedy?
Tamil icon Joseph Vijay on Saturday held a rally in Karur, where a devastating incident occurred in the darkness. While the Leo actor addressed the crowd from his campaign vehicle, thousands rushed forward to see their star over the van. According to media reports, over 40 peopl,e including eight children, succumbed to death in the stampede.
The Karur stampede instantly grabbed the headlines against Vijay. Actress Oviya demanded “arresting Thalapathy Vijay” in her Instagram story. Later, she deleted the post and shared a quote that read, “To the wise, life is a dream; to fools, it’s a game; to the rich, a joke; but for the poor, it is sheer disaster.”
Actor turned BJP leader, Sarathkumar, also joined the criticism, where he strongly reacted to Karur’s devastating stampede. On the other hand, actor Vishal penned a compensation amount to be released to the family.
