KBC 17: Internet in awe as Amitabh Bachchan deals with overconfident young contestant with patience, netizens say ‘His parents are…’

Amitabh Bachchan’s KBC has been one of those quiz shows which is loved by people of all ages. Apart from Big B stealing hearts with his charming hosting skills, the show has seen various contestants over the years who proved their intelligence and took home lakhs and lakhs of money. However, in KBC 17, for the first time, Amitabh faced an overconfident class 5th student, who, though came to win a hefty prize, had to go back to the pavilion with zero. Junior KBC contestant Ishit Bhatt is going viral on X (formerly Twitter) for his reportedly arrogant behaviour on the hot seat.

Overconfident Kid Annoyed Amitabh Bachchan

During the episode, Ishit started off by bluntly telling host Amitabh Bachchan not to repeat the game rules to him. “Mere ko rule pata hain isiliye aap abhi mereko rules samjhaane mat baithna (I know the rules, so no need for you to tell me those),” he said, making Amitabh frustrated.

As the show began, the kid took on questions even before Big B could give him options. “Sir B breakfast lock karo (Sir, lock B breakfast),” he said. He interrupted Big B so many times that the actor was not even able to finish the questions.

When faced with the Rs 25,000 question related to the Ramayana, Ishit got confused and eventually asked for the options, prompting laughter from the audience.

When Amitabh presented the options, Ishit kept on screaming, “Arey lock kar (Just lock it).” Despite Big B confirming with him gazillions of times about the option he was going with, Ishit’s arrogance did not go well as the option he picked turned out to be wrong. As a result, the kid had to go back home empty-handed.

As the video surfaced online, the internet was irked, and many called the kid “stupid” and “arrogant.”

“What kind of generation has come to KBC now? Watch this rare combination of overconfidence and rudeness. It’s only because Amitabh Bachchan was sitting there that he tolerated so much misbehavior from this young boy—anyone else might have either disqualified the child or walked out of the game themselves,” said a person.

Kaun Banega Crorepati, which began in 2025, is now in its 17th season. Amitabh Bachchan has hosted 16 seasons, while Shah Rukh Khan has hosted one.
