According to a report by Daily NK, the tour guides of the country are advised not to use the banned English words as they are widely used in western countries including South Korea. The report states that tour guides are being strictly trained to adopt the local North Korean terminology.

A woman, who fled the country in 2023, stated that her friends were publicly killed just for keeping South Korean dramas.
