Las Vegas Strip casino adds shows to popular singer’s residency

Las Vegas Strip casinos have a reputation for bringing back their most popular residency artists annually and even multiple times in a year, if demand calls for more shows.

Almost everyone knows that Barry Manilow was so popular in the International Theater at the Westgate Las Vegas off the Strip that the "Copacabana" singer signed a lifetime residency agreement in December 2024 to perform exclusively at the casino for as long as he chooses.

Legendary rock star Carlos Santana has headlined a long-running residency at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip since 2012, performing over 300 shows to sold-out audiences.

Eagles Sphere house band?

Legendary rock band Eagles has practically become the house band at Sphere Las Vegas after launching its record-setting residency on Sept. 20, 2024.

The band keeps adding shows to its residency and will tie Dead & Company for the most concerts performed at the venue with 48, once Eagles complete their Jan. 31, 2026, show.

A recently-added Feb. 20, 2026, show will break the record for most shows performed at Sphere, with 49 shows. The band will have performed 52 total shows once it finishes its last scheduled performance on Feb. 28, 2026.

Sphere's promoters have said Eagles can perform at the venue for as long as they choose.

Another perennial favorite residency on the Strip is classic rock band, Chicago, which has signed on at the Venetian Theater at Venetian Resort Las Vegas for the ninth straight year for nine shows in February 2026.

The “25 or 6 to 4” band is the longest-running residency artist in the Venetian Theater’s history, with over 60 shows performed, The Venetian said in a statement.

Kelly Clarkson adds August 2026 residency shows

And now superstar singer Kelly Clarkson has added four more Las Vegas Strip residency shows to her engagement at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for August 2026, after canceling four shows in August 2025 and adding more shows earlier in 2026.

Clarkson canceled four residency shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Aug. 8, 9, 15, and 16, 2025, because of the death of her ex-husband, and father of her two children, Brandon Blackstock.

Clarkson and Blackstock, who married in 2013, have two children, River, 10, and Remy, 8. Clarkson filed for divorce in 2020.

The “Because of You” singer, however, did not cancel regularly scheduled shows on Nov. 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2025, at the venue. And in August, she added six shows to her residency on July 17, 18, 24, 25, 31, and Aug. 1, 2026.

Now, Clarkson has added four additional residency shows for Aug. 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, all starting at 8 p.m.

Tickets for the new residency shows are currently on sale at Ticketmaster.com. A limited number of tickets are available for the previously scheduled performances.

Kelly Clarkson canceled residency shows in July 2025

Clarkson unveiled her “Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions” residency on Feb. 6, with 18 shows planned from July 4, 2025, through Aug. 16, 2025, and continuing in November.

The former coach on “The Voice” had difficulties with her “Studio Sessions” residency, as the singer also postponed her opening weekend, July 4-5, about 90 minutes before the first show because of vocal fatigue.

The singer last performed a residency on the Strip in 2023 and 2024 at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
