Las Vegas casinos on and off the Strip feature several long-running legacy music residencies that fans have patronized for many years.

Mr. Las Vegas Wayne Newton began performing in Las Vegas in 1959, has lived in Sin City since the 1960s, and became a headliner  on the Strip for the first time at the Flamingo in 1963.

Newton has performed at several of Vegas' classic hotel-casinos over the years, including The Desert Inn, Sands, Frontier, the Las Vegas Hilton, Harrah's, and the MGM Grand, according to the legend's website, WayneNewton.com.

The 83-year-old legend opened his "Wayne: Up Close and Personal" residency at the Wayne Newton Theater in Bugsy's Cabaret at the Flamingo Las Vegas in January 2022 and is scheduled to perform through Dec. 31, 2025.

Legendary 1970s superstar singer Barry Manilow on Sept. 23, 2023, broke Elvis Presley's record of sold-out shows in the International Theater at Westgate Las Vegas just off the Strip, when he played his 637th sold-out show.

Manilow has continued performing and in December 2024 signed on for a lifetime residency at Westgate. He is performing through 2025 with his "A Very Barry Christmas" shows scheduled for six shows Dec. 4-6 and Dec. 11-13, 2025, according to the singer's representative.

"I am sorry to say that Carlos was out taking a walk at his vacation home in Kauai. He took a hard fall, and broke his little finger on his left hand," spokesman Michael Vrionis, president of Universal Tone Management, said in a statement in January.
