Legendary country megastar Dolly Parton was all set to return to the Las Vegas Strip for her first extended engagement in 32 years with a new six-show residency "Dolly: Live in Las Vegas" at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace that was scheduled for Dec. 4-13, 2025.

Parton's residency was supposed to run during the National Finals Rodeo, featuring a hit-driven concert series that would include seven decades of classic hits and fan favorites, including "9 to 5," "Jolene," "I Will Always Love You," and "Coat of Many Colors."

Dolly Parton postpones residency

The popular country singer shocked her fans on Sept. 28 when she revealed on Instagram that she needed to postpone her residency because of health issues.

"I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts," Parton said in a statement.

Parton said that she just needs time to get the show ready, but fans don't need to worry about her quitting the business because "God hasn't said anything about stopping yet."

With the Colosseum sitting vacant for six dates in December, Caesars Palace decided to fill four of the vacancies with a residency featuring another superstar country singer, Tim McGraw.

McGraw last performed a residency on the Strip with his wife Faith Hill on their 20-show Soul2Soul engagement, which ran in December 2012, January 2013, February 2013, March 2013, and April 2013, CBS News reported.
