Post-mortem report of Malaika Arora's father Anil Mehta says he died of multiple injuries after falling from 6th floor.
Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Mehta, was cremated on September 12, 2024, in Mumbai. His body was released from the health facility and taken for the funeral, following a post-mortem that was conducted on the night of 9/Eleven. In step with News18, the post-mortem revealed that the reason at the back of death was “a pair of injuries” after falling from the sixth floor. While police had to initiate with labelled it a suicide, a source in the case of the family told PTI that it was an accident, not suicide, as Anil Arora had no significant health issues.
On Wednesday, DCP Crime Branch, Raj Tilak Roshan, addressed the media saying, “Body of 1 Anil Mehta (62) was found. He resided on the sixth floor. We are carrying out further investigation and our team is here. We are investigating all angles intimately. Our teams are here, forensic teams are here besides. Body is being taken for postmortem. We are investigating the total lot intimately. Prima facie, it appears to be suicide, we're conducting further investigation.”
As well adding to the tragic circumstances, reports suggest that Anil had in most cases often often is often often called his daughters, Malaika and Amrita, the day prior to his death, telling them he was “sick and tired.” The last rites were performed at a crematorium in Santacruz, with members of the family and shut friends present to support the grieving family.
Arjun Kapoor and Malaika’s ex-husband Arbaaz Khan have also arrived to pay their last tributes. Yet another set of videos is likewise making rounds on the cyber web featuring Malaika’s son Arhaan, consoling her mother in demanding times. As media persons surrounded them, Malaika helped her mother get contained within the automobile. The remainder of their family and friends were seen walking at the back of them. Arjun Kapoor, Arbaaz Khan with wife Sshura Khan and others were also seen on Thursday at Anil Mehta’s last rites.
Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Sohail Khan along together with his son Nirvaan also arrived to pay their last tribute to Anil Mehta.
