The story of the film and Kalyani Priyadarshan’s acting caught everyone’s attention. Now, the film’s producer and actor Dulquer Salmaan, as well as his father, veteran actor Mammootty, and Kalyani’s father, filmmaker Priyadarshan, have revealed that they did not expect the film to be a success. Mammootty and Priyadarshan didn’t have high hopes with Lokah
In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India(BHARAT), Dulquer Salmaan revealed how he and Kalyani’s father were worried about the film, but now he is proud of it. Kalyani also revealed her father Priyadarshan’s reaction to the film’s success. Dulquer said that his father had no expectations from ‘Lokah’ at all. “Her dad didn’t expect it. He was like, ‘What were you thinking? Why would you take this bet? I told him honestly — I didn’t know. I just believed in the idea. It felt right. My dad (veteran actor Mammootty) was worried too. They all thought we were a little mad, but they’re very proud now,” revealed Dulquer.
On the other hand, Kalyani revealed what her father thought about Lokah. “The first message he sent me after everything blew up was, ‘Don’t let success get to your head and don’t let failure get to your heart.’ He says it often, but this time he sent it as a reminder, and he continues to remind me every day. That’s what I hold on to,” said Kalyani.

‘Lokah Chapter 1 – Chandra’ has earned a lot at the box office. It became the first woman-led Malayalam film to earn Rs 200 crores. With this, Kalyani Priyadarshan has become the first Malayalam actress to earn 200 crores. Also, Loka is the first Malayalam superwoman film.
