Meta quietly plans rude awakening for employees after layoffs

Meta (META) , which owns Facebook and Instagram, kicked off 2025 on a harsh mark when it decided to give hundreds of workers the boot.
In January, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the company’s crew would be reduced by 5%, and the job cuts would be per performance.
