High security in Ayodhya ahead of PM Modi’s visit
According to an official statement, total of 6,970 security personnel, including commandos from the ATS, NSG snipers, cyber experts, and technical teams have been deployed to establish an “impenetrable security cover” in and around the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, and to ensure strict law-and-order management across the city on the occasion of PM Modi’s visit.
The security arrangements, under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, have also engaged anti-drone technology and advanced monitoring systems on the temple premises and surrounding areas, while senior officials, from superintendents of police to field-level teams, are overseeing the operations to ensure seamless coordination, the statement said.
Additionally, special units, including bomb squads, dog squads, VVIP protection teams, fire units, and rapid response teams, have been deployed across the holy city, and personnel tasked with crowd management, security screening, explosives detection, and emergency response have been stationed across key locations, officials said.
Modern safety equipment has also been integrated into the security plan, including mine detection units, BDS squads, X-ray scanners, handheld metal detectors, vehicle scanners, CCTV surveillance systems, high-response vans, and ambulances, it said.
About Ayodhya Ram Mandir
The Ayodhya Ram Mandir was consecrated on January 22, 2024 with PM Modi leading a grand Pran Pratishtha ceremony amidst fanfare and anticipation across the country. During the event, Ram Lalla idol was unveiled in the presence of PM Modi who led the rituals at the consecration ceremony in the sanctum sanctorum of the grand temple.
The magnificent Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir is constructed in traditional Nagara style and measures 380 feet (east-west) in length, 250 feet in width, and 161 feet in height. The grand temple is supported by 392 pillars and has 44 doors.
The pillars and walls of the temple showcase intricately sculpted depictions of Hindu deities, gods, and goddesses. The Ram Lalla idol, which depicts Lord Ram as a 5-year-old child, is placed in the main sanctum sanctorum located on the ground floor of the temple.
