A legal complaint accusing Palaash Muchhal of financial misconduct has been filed by a Maharashtra resident, bringing the matter under official scrutiny.
Singer and filmmaker Palaash Muchhal has found himself at the center of controversy after a serious complaint was filed against him in Maharashtra. The matter has sparked discussion in both film and music circles, as allegations of financial wrongdoing have now been brought to the attention of the police. The case has raised questions and drawn public interest due to Muchhal’s profile and recent personal developments.
What the complaint claims?
According to the complaint filed with the Sangli district police, a local man has accused Palaash Muchhal of cheating him of Rs 40 lakh. The complainant has been identified as Vaibhav Mane, a film financier by profession. He has alleged that Muchhal took money from him for a film project that never reached completion.
The complaint states that Mane was introduced to Muchhal during the latter’s visit to Sangli. The introduction reportedly happened through a mutual connection, following which discussions about a film project began.
Film investment and alleged assurances
Vaibhav Mane has claimed that Muchhal approached him with a proposal to invest in a film titled Nazariya. He was allegedly assured that the project would be completed quickly and released on an OTT platform, ensuring a timely return on his investment.
Based on these promises, Mane invested a total of Rs 40 lakh in the project. The money was reportedly paid in multiple installments, including cash payments and digital transfers through Google Pay. Mane has submitted transaction details and related documents to the Superintendent of Police as part of his complaint.
Alleged delay and lack of repayment
The complainant has alleged that the film was never completed. When he asked for his money to be returned, Muchhal initially assured him that the amount would be repaid. However, Mane claims that over time his calls were ignored and his phone number was eventually blocked. After waiting for several months with no response, Mane decided to approach the police and seek legal action, alleging financial fraud.
Police action and current status
Police officials have confirmed that they have received the complaint and are currently examining the documents and transaction records submitted by the complainant. An investigation is underway and further action will be taken based on findings.
