Ever since the wedding of cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal was put on hold due to Smriti’s father’s health issues, rumours have been rife. Rumours are circulating on social media that Palash has cheated on Smriti. Meanwhile, Palash’s cousin has now come to his defense.

Recently, an Instagram user named Mary D’Costa shared screenshots on Reddit, alleging that these were her private chats with Palash. Although that account has now been deactivated, the screenshots are still circulating widely on social media. The revelation of the chats has fueled further rumours and speculation that Palash is cheating on Smriti.

Palash Muchhal’s cousin comes to the rescue

Now, Palash’s cousin, Neeti Tak, has come forward to defend him, asking people not to judge him based on a few rumours. In a note on her Instagram Stories, Palash’s cousin wrote, “Palash is going through a very critical condition today. You all should not judge Palash without knowing the truth.” She further added, “Today, technology has surpassed humans, so people should not judge Palash based on rumours…Please pray for him.”

Palash is also admitted to the hospital

Palash is currently admitted to a hospital in Mumbai. A short while ago, Palash’s sister Palak confirmed the postponement of the wedding on Instagram, requesting some privacy. Palash and Smriti were scheduled to get married on November 23rd. She wrote on Instagram, “Due to Smriti’s father’s health, Smriti and Palash’s wedding has been postponed. We request everyone to respect the families’ privacy during this sensitive time.”

On the wedding day, cricketer Smriti Mandhana’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, fell ill and was taken to a hospital in Sangli after experiencing heart attack-like symptoms. Palash was also admitted to a hospital in Sangli a day later.
