Popular Odia singer Humen Sagar passed away on Monday evening, November 17th, at the age of 34. Fans and the entire Odia music industry are in deep shock.
Odia singer Humane Sagar, a 34-year-old male, was admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar on November 14th. He had bilateral pneumonia, acute or chronic liver failure (ACLF), dilated cardiomyopathy with severe LV systolic dysfunction, MODS (Multi-Organ Dysfunction Syndrome)-refractory shock, severe respiratory failure, anuric acute kidney injury, encephalopathy, hepatopathy, thrombocytopenia, and coagulopathy. Despite aggressive and advanced care provided by an expert team of specialist doctors, his treatment was unsuccessful, and he passed away on November 17, 2025, at 9:08 p.m.

According to information received from the treating doctor at AIIMS Bhubaneswar (Dr. Shrikant Behera – Intensivist and ECMO Specialist). The passing of Humane Sagar has left Odisha and the entire Ollywood industry in deep shock. His journey to fame began with his win on Voice of Odisha in 2012, after which he went on to become one of the most prominent playback singers in the Odia music world. With countless films and albums to his credit, he earned a special place in the hearts of listeners. His untimely death has left fans heartbroken, and his family, friends, and colleagues are grieving the loss of an artist who helped shape the sound of contemporary Odia music.

What happened to Humane Sagar’s health?
Sagar’s health declined suddenly, and he was admitted to AIIMS on November 14. Doctors revealed that he passed away due to a combination of critical health issues, including multi-organ dysfunction syndrome, acute-on-chronic liver failure, bilateral pneumonia, and a severe heart condition known as dilated cardiomyopathy.
