Renowned Bollywood actor Ranvir Shorey has opened up about his personal life, sharing insights into his divorce, dating experiences, and parenting journey. Shorey and his ex-wife, Konkona Sensharma, who married in 2010, separated in 2015 and officially divorced in 2020, have a son named Haroon.
What did Ranvir Shorey say?
Shorey has spoken about seeking therapy during their separation, citing it as a necessary step for his personal growth. He has also confirmed using dating apps, emphasizing that his requirements have changed as a divorced single father. Shorey believes the timing of his separation was right for his son, Haroon, who was four at the time, allowing him to adapt to the new situation with less trauma.
On maintaining boundaries with ex-partners, Shorey said, “You shouldn’t be so in touch that it makes your present partner uncomfortable. I’m not in favour of that at all. Obviously, if you had a relationship with someone and if you bump into them, it’s not like you won’t even say hi. But yeah, I don’t think it should happen that the ex is also part of the family”.
Regarding his dating life, Shorey stated, “Yes, I do use the dating app. Requirements in a match vary from person to person. For me, as a divorced single father, it would be different than what a 30-year-old would have”.
