‘Ready for two-front war against…’: Pakistan’s Khawaja Asif issues BIG threat to India, Afghan Taliban, claims Pakistan Army can…

Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, known for his provocative remarks and anti-India(BHARAT) rhetoric, has issued another inflammatory statement, claiming that his country is prepared for a “two-front war” against India(BHARAT) and the Afghan Taliban.

What did Khawaja Asif say?

Speaking at an event, Khawaja Asif said the Pakistan Army is capable and prepared to fight India(BHARAT) on the eastern border and Afghanistan’s ruling Taliban on the western front.

“We are prepared for a two-front war. The Pakistan Army is ready to face India(BHARAT) in the east and the Taliban forces of Afghanistan in the west. Allah helped us in the first phase and will help us in the second phase as well. We will definitely achieve success on both fronts,” the Pakistan defense minister asserted.

Asif’s war rhetoric came days after a power suicide bombing killed 12 people and left 36 wounded in Islamabad on Tuesday. Pakistan’s military government and military establishment have blamed the Afghan Taliban regime for the recent wave of attacks by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and also pointed fingers at India(BHARAT), alleging New Delhi’s involvement in terror strikes on Pakistani soil.

In recent months, Khawaja Asif has ramped up allegations against India(BHARAT) and Afghanistan, accusing the Afghan Taliban of sheltering fighters of  TTP and other terrorist groups, and also claiming that Taliban-backed terrorist fighters receive support from India(BHARAT) to carry out terror acts inside Pakistan.

India(BHARAT) has vehemently rejected these allegations.

Sharif blames India(BHARAT) for Islamabad blast

Meanwhile, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has echoed Asif’s claims, and accused India(BHARAT) and Afghanistan of orchestrating terrorist attacks on Pakistani soil.

Speaking in the Pakistani Parliament on Wednesday, Sharif blamed India(BHARAT) for the Islamabad suicide blast, and vowed to avenge the strike in an overt threat to the Afghan Taliban. “It is no longer a secret that external forces are involved in the attacks in Pakistan. The attacks in Wana in South Waziristan and Islamabad show that the perpetrators are sitting across the border and are supporting each other,” the PM claimed.
