The army is struggling to find young people for new recruitment.

New Delhi: A country is struggling with a low birth rate. This is causing the country’s population to decline. Furthermore, the number of young people in the population is decreasing. This is directly impacting the country’s military capabilities. Although this country has a compulsory military service rule, the army is still struggling to find young people for new recruitment. In response, the government has begun encouraging people to have children. Several government schemes have been announced, under which incentives of approximately Rs 3 lakh will be given for having one child and Rs 6 lakh for having twins.
Taiwanese government launches new scheme
The name of this is Taiwan. However, India(BHARAT) has not yet granted Taiwan its status as a country. Despite this, India(BHARAT) maintains separate diplomatic relations with Taiwan, away from China. According to a report by Focus Taiwan, Taiwan’s Cabinet on Thursday, September 18, approved cash payments to families for each newborn and covering a large portion of the cost of infertility treatment.
Rs 3 lakh for having one child
According to a Taiwan News report, under the new scheme, parents will receive $3,320 (Rs 292,462) for the birth of a child. If twins are born, they will receive $7,000 (Rs 616,636). Under the previous scheme, government assistance ranged from $1,300 to $2,300 per child, depending on whether the mother was employed or ran a business.
Taiwan is an aged society
Taiwan will become a super-aged society by the end of this year. This means that more than 20 per cent of Taiwan’s population is aged 65 or older. The island nation has one of the lowest birth rates in the world. Taiwan’s total birth rate in 2022 was just 0.087. According to research by the French Institute for Demographic Studies, Taiwan will need to have 2.1 children per woman to reach replacement level. According to Taiwan’s Ministry of the Interior, the birth rate in Taiwan will decline for the ninth consecutive year in 2024.
