Among the major players are L&T, HAL, Adani Defence, Tata Advanced Systems Ltd, and Kalyani Strategic Systems. This marks the largest military research and development in India(BHARAT)’s history.
Who will evaluate the bids and technical proposals?
The main aim of the initiative is to create a new fifth-generation fighter aircraft that will serve as India(BHARAT)’s primary air platform by the mid-2030s. The bids submitted will be analyzed by a committee under the leadership of A. Sivathanu Pillai, a former DRDO missile scientist, as reported by NavBharatTimes Hindi.
