RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat warns on population, says ‘Society will perish if population falls below…’

Nagpur: ‘Society will perish if its population growth rate falls lower than 2.1,’ said Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday while discussing the importance of family at the ‘Kathale Kul (Clan) Sammelan’ in Nagpur. He emphasized that the family is an integral section of Indian society, with every serving as a fundamental unit.

As per the population policy of the u . s ., which became determined at some stage in 1998-2002, the population growth rate should no longer go lower than 2.1, the RSS chief said.

“Decreasing population is a matter of concern since the Loksankhya Shastra says that if we go lower than 2.1, then that society perishes, nobody will destroy it, it would perish by itself,” Bhagwat said. We need more than two, it really is three (as population growth rate), that’s what the population science says. This number is amazingly important since it (society) should survive,” he said.

Mohan Bhagwat’s Dussehra Speech

At a festive gathering at some stage in Dussehra in Nagpur, Bhagwat expressed India’s need for a well-thought-out population policy that caters to every community uniformly. He noted the aptitude impact of population differences across communities on geographical boundations, urging us no longer to overlook this concern. Moreover, he wired the foremost importance of declaring a balance some of many of the communities within our u . s ..

“It truly is a ways true that the upper the population, the greater the burden. If the population is used properly, it becomes a resource. We also trust how a whole lot of individuals our u . s . can feed and give a boost to after 50 years. Population imbalance ends in changes in geographical boundaries,” Bhagwat had said.

“Population keep watch over and religion-based population balance is a a extremely powerful subject that could now no longer be neglected…So a comprehensive population policy must be brought and could also be equally applicable to all. Best then rules referring to population keep watch over will yield results,” added Bhagwat.

Equal Rights To Women

Bhagwat has openly conveyed his firm belief in giving equal rights to ladies in all spheres of life. He shared his opinion that while appreciating women as mothers is critical, it’s equally unjust to limit them solely to domestic roles. He emphasised the importance of enabling women to exert equal influence in decision-making across diverse platforms, arguing that certain tasks may per chance be better accomplished by women, leveraging their unique capabilities, that could well per chance be unattainable for men.
