Filmmaker Sajid Khan suffered a major injury on the sets of a film in Mumbai. Khan fractured his foot during the shoot and was then rushed to the hospital, where he underwent surgery the following day. Now, his sister Farah Khan has shared an update on Sajid’s health and recovery.
The incident took place while Sajid Khan was shooting for an Ekta Kapoor-backed project in Mumbai. As reported by Hindustan Times, the director sustained a foot fracture during the shoot and was rushed for medical attention. He underwent surgery on Sunday, after which Farah Khan assured fans and well-wishers about his health. She said, “The surgery is done, he is absolutely fine now.”
Sajid Khan to Make Powerful Comeback
Sajid Khan has been preparing for a return to direction after taking a break. Khan’s last directorial was Humshakals, which was released in 2014. His directorial debut was Darna Zaroori Hai in 2005, a horror anthology that starred Amitabh Bachchan and Arjun Rampal.
Sajid’s major recognition came with the comedy Heyy Babyy in 2007, after which he delivered successful hits including Housefull (2010) and Housefull 2 (2012). The director is reportedly in talks for a new project, signaling his return to the director’s chair.
In the interim, he gained public attention through his stint on Bigg Boss 16. Sajid Khan’s closest friends from the season came together to form the popular “Mandali” group including Shiv Thakare, MC Stan, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Sumbul Touqeer Khan, and Tajikistani singer and influencer Abdu Rozik.
