Shah Rukh Khan on 'Dunki' co-star Vicky Kaushal: 'Got to learn from him, he's one of the finest actors I worked with'

Shah Rukh Khan and Vicky Kaushal are coming together for Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki that releases in cinemas tomorrow. Talking about his experience of working with Kaushal, Khan said in a statement, “Actually Vicky Kaushal is a great friend. Personally I feel, he is one of the finest actors I have worked with. When you will see him in Dunki, you will feel a lot of love.”

He added, “He has really done very very well. I got a lot to learn from him actually.”

SRK on the meaning of Dunki and home coming

Dunki is an illegal trip many people take to get out of their country across borders all over the world. It deals about going out from your home country and finding a future for yourself, but loving your home the most. So, it’s about homecoming or ghar wapsi. It’s like wherever in the world you might live, but ultimately during the last days of your life, its best to come back home to your country.

SRK on Jawan and Pathaan

Speaking about his previous films, Jawan and Pathaan, SRK said, “So when I made Jawan, I thought I made a film for boys and girls but I didn’t make anything for myself, then I made Dunki. So this is my film. This film is very close to my heart.

Vicky Kaushal also spoke about the experience of working with the star and said, “It was incredible. I mean, it’s always fantastic experience to just meet him and to share screen with him and then to get to work with him.”

The actor continued, “There was so much to learn. Of course I knew I will learn a lot as an actor and everything but I was not prepared for… What actually hit me was…I got to know why he is where he is and why he is the Badshaah.”
