Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan praises Alia Bhatt for repeating her wedding saree for National Awards 2023

The young and beautiful Suhana Khan, daughter of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, is gearing up for her acting debut. She will be seen in Zoya Akhtar’s coming-of-age musical drama film, The Archies. With just a few days left before the film releases, Suhana Khan along with other cast members is leaving no stone unturned as she goes on a promotional spree.

In a recent promotional event, Suhana Khan was seen talking about the importance of role models as she goes on to mention actress Alia Bhatt, further heaping praises for her.

While interacting with the media during the promotional event of The Archies, Suhana appreciated Alia Bhatt for repeating her wedding sari for the National Awards, adding that the actress took a stand for sustainability and it was a much-needed message.

Considering that her upcoming film focuses on environmental concerns, Suhana shared her own thoughts with the mention of Alia Bhatt. When asked for her reaction to Alia Bhatt re-wearing her wedding outfit for the National Film Awards, Suhana said, “It was incredible and a much-needed message. She did that and took a stand for sustainability.”

The actress further added, “If Alia Bhatt can repeat her wedding outfit, everyone else can also repeat an outfit for the party. We don’t need to buy a new outfit every time. We don’t realise that making new garments creates waste which impacts biodiversity and the environment, so it is very important.”

Notably, Suhana Khan’s remarks immediately went viral, leaving people to talk about how she has been praising Alia Bhatt for picking an outfit. A section of fans were also seen trolling the young actress.

For the unversed, Alia Bhatt was seen wearing her wedding sari on the day she was honoured with the National Award for Best Actress for her role in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Speaking about the same, the actress shared it was a really special moment for a different reason. “Such a special outfit can be worn for a special occasion more than once,” Alia said.
