The love between Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal has bloomed, and a new chapter in their lives has begun. Sonakshi and Zaheer are all set to get married on June 23, 2024. As their wedding day approached, a special pooja took place at Sonakshi Sinha’s house, ‘Ramayan.’ A video from the pooja is now making rounds on the internet. While no one from the Sinha family was seen, fans are speculating that this is the beginning of Sonakshi and Zaheer’s wedding celebrations.
A video was shared by the paparazzi account Viral Bhayani, which features a priest reciting the holy mantras. Also, as the paps tried to capture a glimpse of the pooja, security guards were seen closing the door of Sonakshi’s home. Additionally, a bunch of videos are also making rounds on the internet, featuring Zaheer’s father out in the city doing some wedding shopping. Another video shows several ethnic dresses being transported from one place to another.

Meanwhile, various reports are circulating on the internet claiming that Sonakshi might convert to Islam after marriage. However, her father-in-law has quashed the rumours. In a conversation with Free Press Journal, Iqbal Ratansi said, “It will have neither Hindu nor Muslim rituals. It will be a civil marriage.” He added, “She is not converting, and that is for sure. Theirs is a union of hearts, and religion has no role to play whatsoever. I believe in humanity. God is called Bhagwan by Hindus and Allah by Muslims. But at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My blessings are with Zaheer and Sonakshi.”
Recently, Shashi Ranjan, a close friend of the actress’s father Shatrughan Sinha, shared an update about the wedding. Speaking to ETimes, he said, “She (Sonakshi) is getting married to the man with whom she is in love. Everybody is participating, Shatru Ji’s brothers are also coming from America for the wedding. The registered marriage will take place at Zaheer Iqbal’s house. It is a very happy moment for me and the family.”
