Tehseen Poonawalla lashes out at trolls for mocking Salman Khan’s expression in Battle of Galwan teaser, says ‘That smile isn’t…’
Tehseen Poonawalla defends Salman Khan’s subtle smile in the Battle of Galwan teaser, calling it a display of courage and composure.
Salman Khan is once again set to enthrall fans with his upcoming film Battle of Galwan. However, even before its release, the movie has sparked controversy, with Salman Khan at the center of attention. While fans have praised the teaser, a section of social media users mocked Salman Khan’s smile at the end of the one-minute teaser, questioning its relevance in the war drama. Amid the trolling, Bigg Boss 13 contestant Tehseen Poonawalla offered a powerful interpretation of the moment.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Poonawalla called out the trolls targeting Salman Khan. He further explained that the much-discussed smile was not casual. According to him, the smile reflected composure and controlled aggression.
He wrote, “Those trolling Salman for that slight smile in the #BattleOfGalwan teaser are missing the point. That isn’t casual – it’s composure. It’s calm aggression. It’s the look of a soldier who understands what he’s walking into and refuses to panic when the enemy is right in front of him.”
Tehseen further emphasized how Salman expressed both pain and courage with subtlety, noting that such emotions often capture the essence of soldiers confronting life-or-death situations.
He also underlined the mindset of soldiers on the battlefield, emphasizing that for a soldier, there are only two options: victory or sacrifice, and both are triumphs in their own way.
He concluded the post by saying, “Jawaano yaad rahe, zakham lage toh medal samajhna aur maut dikhe toh salaam karna… Aaj nahi toh phir kabhi,” and “Maut se kya darna, usse toh aana hi hai.”
Tehseen added, “That smile isn’t weakness. It’s acceptance. It’s courage. If the film keeps this tone, there’s serious potential here.”
