Tejashwi Yadav’s FIRST reaction after being named as Mahaghathbandhan’s CM face, warns Nitish Kumar of…, says ‘Will throw…’

Putting rest to all the speculations, the Mahaghathbandhan on Thursday named RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as the Chief Ministerial face for Bihar Assembly elections.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said, “We, the people of Mahagathbandhan, do not just want to form the govt or become the CM, but we want to make Bihar, that is why we are together… I thank all the members of the Mahagathbandhan for showing trust in me. I want to tell all of them that I will do everything possible to live up to your expectations and together we will throw the 20-year-old government that is currently in power…”

Notably, while Congress had been reluctant to openly acknowledge Tejashwi Yadav as the alliance’s CM face, the party leadership has accepted the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader as the leader. Now, a picture confirms this. The Grand Alliance is holding an important press conference today, Thursday, October 23, 2025. A poster has been released featuring only Tejashwi Yadav. Thus, it has been confirmed that Tejashwi Yadav is the leader of the Grand Alliance.

While making the announcement, senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot said, “…All of us sitting here have decided that in these elections, we support Tejashwi Yadav as the CM face…”

Gehlot also said Vikassheel Insan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahni would be one of the deputy chief ministers if the INDIA bloc forms the government, along with “another leader from the backward classes” who would occupy the same post.
