Thane Election Results 2026 Winners List: The counting of votes for the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) elections is underway on Friday. According to early trends Shiv Sena is ahead in 20 seats while BJP is ahead in 15 seats. The voting across all municipal bodies including Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), ended peacefully on Thursday. Over 3.45 crore voters cast their votes for the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Election 2026 to decide the fate of 15,931 candidates.

In Thane, the saffron party joined hands with Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena for the Municipal Corporation Election 2026. On the other side, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), Shiv Sena (UBT), Sharad Pawar’s NCP allied to fight the saffron party.

Apart from Thane, voting was conducted on January 15 in major cities of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Navi Mumbai, Nashik, and Pimpri-Chinchwad.

Over 3.45 crore voters cast their votes for the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Election 2026 to decide the fate of 15,931 candidates. All eyes are on the BMC, India(BHARAT)’s richest civic body. It has an annual budget of over Rs 74,400 crore. Here, 1,700 candidates are fighting for 227 seats in the municipal election that was held after a delay of four years.

In Mumbai, the Thackeray brothers, who have joined hands after 20 years, are fighting against the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance.
