The Stellantis and UAW dispute is coming to an amicable end
The automaker and union's relationship is turning a new page.
On the stage of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago benefit in August 2024, the President of the United Auto Workers (UAW), Shawn Fain, put pressure on Stellantis, the parent company of American auto brands Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram Trucks.
On what's perchance thought to be one of many largest platforms he may spend, Fain called out Stellantis (STLA) for lagging in its commitment to restart the shuttered Belvedere Assembly plant, even after a $334 million U.S. Vitality Department grant used to be awarded to the automaker.
