This country has devloped new ‘silent killer’ weapon, can hit target with single push button at…, capable of destroying any…, it’s not US, China, Israel, Iran

The French Navy is about to unveil its new “Silent Killer” weapon—a posh electromagnetic railgun. This powerful weapon can fire projectiles at a speed of roughly 11,000 km/hr, ready to destroying any aerial target or naval vessel. The electromagnetic railgun, developed by the French-German Research Institute of Saint Louis in collaboration with the Defense Innovation Agency, is likely one of a couple of most foremost formidable weapons on this planet. It represents a next-generation system that doesn't place confidence in traditional ammunition; instead, it uses electromagnetic force to launch steel or metal projectiles, which obliterate targets upon impact.

Unlike conventional cannons that place confidence in explosive gunpowder to create the pressure needed to launch a shell, the railgun uses electricity and magnetic forces in place of explosives. This enables it to launch projectiles at hypersonic speeds. Railguns are also considered safer than traditional cannons, as the absence of explosive materials reduces weight and increases managing safety.

Travels at a speed of 11,000 km per hour

The French electromagnetic railgun fires a forty mm metal projectile at an astonishing speed of 11,000 km/hr—about three kilometers per 2nd. These steel rounds, every weighing around 320 grams, require 20 megajoules of energy per shot.

The U. S. halted its Railgun project

The U. S. had in the starting up invested heavily in railgun technology, with the U.S. Navy spending around three,667 crore INR on the Electromagnetic Railgun Development Program. Nevertheless, notwithstanding this important investment, the project used to be discontinued.

Japan’s Railgun checking out

Last year, Japan’s Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) conducted tests on the same railgun weapon, planning to deploy it across a ramification naval vessels. The Japanese railgun can launch projectiles silently and shall be installed on multipurpose unmanned surface vessels (USVs), unmanned assault vehicles (AAVs), anti-torpedo torpedoes (ATTs), and combat management systems.
