Verizon’s plan to make switching harder for customers hits a snag
The phone carrier's latest move has received an unexpected response.
Over the past few months, Verizon (VZ) has been in scorching water over its controversial conception to label it extra difficult for customers to gash ties with the corporate.
When Verizon bought licenses to expend 700MHz spectrum in 2008 and received TracFone in 2021, it used to be compelled to follow a rule that requires it to mechanically unlock a phone it sells to a customer after 60 days, which provides that customer the capability to expend that tool on yet any other phone provider's community.
