Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma recently visited India(BHARAT) to meet Premanand Ji in Vrindavan. However, the two were spotted exiting an airport terminal when a differently-abled child approached the cricketer for a photograph. In the video, Virat appeared to be in a hurry, and his security team quickly intervened, pushing the child aside. Virat then swiftly got into the car, with Anushka Sharma following him soon after.
While the couple might have been in a hurry to board their flight, this incident didn’t sit well the viewers. Soon after this clip went viral, people called it insensitive and invited a lot of criticism for the duo.
Netizens React Strongly On Social Media
Soon after the video surfaced, social media users expressed their disappointment. One user wrote, “He pushed that differently able boy shame pls .. kya deejay shree Shree premanand ji se apne ye?”
Another comment read, “Why ignore the Kid? At least he can say Hi. It’s just a few seconds from his busy schedule. I feel bad for the kid… They should respect kids and their feelings.”
A third user penned, “What is the point of visiting Premanand Ji if one continues to carry so much ego and attitude even after leaving that place? Ignoring a disabled child who just wanted a photo is heartbreaking. feel bad for him.”
Adding to the criticism, another netizen wrote,”Vrindavan jakar kya seekha?”
Fans Divided Over Intent
While several users slammed the couple, others pointed out that the incident may have been misinterpreted. Some said Virat and Anushka were simply trying to get inside the car quickly, without any intention of hurting anyone.
A Couple Known For Choosing Privacy
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, one of India(BHARAT)’s most beloved couples, have spoken frequently about privacy and personal space. As per reports, the two reportedly relocated to the United Kingdom to live a quieter life, away from constant media glare. The couple has often expressed their desire to give their children, Vamika and Akaay, a normal upbringing, far from public scrutiny.
Despite their efforts to maintain privacy, moments like these highlight that public figures are always under the pubic gaze, where every action is watched, judged, and debated endlessly.
