Why we love this deal

Nintendo is one of the few brands that's as popular with kids as it is adults, and its new Nintendo Switch 2 console is likely at the top of countless wishlists this holiday. The console is a powerful follow-up to the original Switch console, with better graphics and performance than its predecessor, and this Nintendo Switch 2 bundle comes with Mario Kart World, its flagship title, for just $499.

Since its release, the console has been graced with must-play titles, including Donkey Kong Bananza and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, as well as upgraded versions of Switch releases like Pokémon Legends: ZA and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This holiday, this console is going to be unfathomably popular, so you'll want to score this bundle while you still can.

Why do shoppers love it?

Whether you're buying the console for yourself or someone else, the obvious question is, "Is upgrading to the Nintendo Switch 2 worth it?" As someone who purchased the console the day it was released in June, I can say that the answer to that question is a resounding "absolutely."

This console is a worthy follow-up to the original Switch, with snappy performance, amazing visuals, and a user-friendly interface that blends the best of portable and console gaming. The Switch, in 2025, feels sluggish and laggy, especially if you decide to browse the eShop. The Switch 2 is virtually lag-free, whether you're playing a new game or digging for a hidden gem on the eShop.

Aside from exclusives like Donkey Kong Bananaza and Kirby Air Riders, the Switch 2 provides upgraded versions of Switch hits like the latest Zelda adventures. Playing Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom in glorious 4K with faster frame rates and quicker load times is almost worth the price of admission alone.
