IndiGo flights disruption update: In a significant update in the IndiGo flight disruption case, the airline has posted an apology on the social media platform X, assuring that all cancelled flights will be refunded. For those unversed, IndiGo is witnessing massive flight disruptions across the country with hundreds of flights getting cancelled across the country. In the recent development, the airline cancelled till midnight all its domestic flights departing from the Delhi airport. Notably, the airline is grappling with significant operational disruptions due to the DGCA order, which has now been partially withdrawn.

What has IndiGo said on the flights disruption case?

“We will ensure that all refunds of your cancellations will be processed automatically to your original mode of payment.”

IndiGo said that Friday should be the day with highest number of cancellations, as the airline is taking necessary steps to reboot its systems and schedules for progressive improvement.

“Short term proactive concellations are being made to ease operations, decongest the airports to prepare for starting stronger tomorrow,” the airline said in a post on X.

Hundreds of flights have been cancelled and delayed, leaving passengers stranded at airports as the flight disruptions continued for the fourth day on Friday. Deeply apologising for the disruptions, IndiGo said the situation will not get resolved overnight.

Civil Aviation Ministry issues order on IndiGo flight disruption

In a post on X, the Civil Aviation Ministry said, “This morning, the Hon’ble Minister visited the control room and reviewed its functioning to ensure seamless communication among all stakeholders with a special focus on providing timely information to passengers.”
