‘We have a deal on Gaza’: Trump makes bold claim about ending Israel-Gaza war, promises release of Israeli hostages
US President Donald Trump has said that a ceasefire in Gaza could be reached soon, ensuring the release of hostages. "I think we have a deal on Gaza," he said.

US President Doland Trump has claimed that a major breakthrough is imminent in Gaza. He said that negotiators are close to finalizing an agreement that will allow the hostages to be released and the war to end. Trump said, “It looks like we have a deal on Gaza. I think it’s a deal that will bring the hostages back. It will be a deal that will end the war. It will establish peace.” Trump’s comments come at a time when Israel is facing global isolation due to the ongoing fierce war in Gaza, which has increased pressure on the US.
Israel recently launched an operation to capture Gaza City, and Israeli forces have penetrated deep into the city, which Israel has described as Hamas’s last stronghold. The nearly two-year-long war in Gaza has claimed the lives of more than 65,000 Palestinians. Meanwhile, voices are rising worldwide against the Israeli campaign. In recent times, many countries including Britain, Canada and France have announced recognition of Palestine, which is being described as a blow to Israel.
What Netanyahu said at UN?
Doland Trump’s comments came on the same day Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the United Nations General Assembly. As Netanyahu began his address on Friday, representatives from several countries boycotted the speech and walked out of the hall. Netanyahu delivered his address to a nearly empty hall. During this, Netanyahu directly addressed the people of Gaza and warned Hamas to release the hostages. Netanyahu said, “Let our people come. If this does not happen, we will find and kill Hamas.”
Rained on those who recognised Palestine
Netanyahu accused Iran of leading a terrorist axis that includes the Houthis, Hezbollah, and Hamas. He said Israel has successfully targeted the leaders of these groups and directly addressed the hostages in Gaza. Netanyahu criticized countries that have announced their recognition of Palestine as a state during the UN General Assembly. Netanyahu accused France, Britain, and others of “appeasing evil instead of supporting Israel.”
