‘We settle. With all-out war’: Donald Trump issues big warning to Iran with deployment of warships, F-15E fighter jets, Tehran too ready
US President Donald Trump warned that a military aircraft carrier along with other assets are heading towards Iran.
US-Iran Conflict: Amid the escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, President Doland Trump on Thursday stated that a ‘big force’ is moving toward the Middle East country. However, he hoped that military actions could be avoided. While addressing the media, Trump stated that the US had deployed a massive fleet to the region. “We have a big flotilla going in that direction, and we’ll see what happens. We have a big force going toward Iran. I’d rather not see anything happen, but we’re watching them very closely,” Trump stated.
From Threats To Caution: Trump’s Iran Rhetoric Softens As Protests Ease
During the recent unrest in Iran, Trump has repeatedly issued warnings of military action to the Middle East country over the killing of protesters. However, his tone has softened recently as protests appeared to die down.
Iran Halted Planned Executions: Trump
Trump reiterated his claims that his administration’s pressure had forced the Iranian government to cancel plans to kill hundreds of protesters.
“I stopped 837 hangings on Thursday. They would have been dead. Every one of them would have been hung,” Trump said, further describing the alleged killings as something “from a thousand years ago”.
“I said, if you hang those people, you’re going to be hit harder than you’ve ever been hit. It’ll make what we did to your nuclear programme look like peanuts,” he added.
The US President said the executions were halted just before they were set to take place.
“An hour before this horrible thing was going to take place, they cancelled it. And they actually said they cancelled it — they didn’t postpone it, they cancelled it. So that was a good sign,” he added.
Growth Of US Military Presence
According to US officials, a fully armed aircraft carrier strike group and other military assets have been deployed and are expected to arrive in the Middle East in a few days, news agency Reuters reported.
Warships, including the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, along with several destroyers and fighter aircraft, began moving from the Asia-Pacific region last week as tensions with Iran escalated.
The warships and aircraft carriers that were deployed are USS Abraham Lincoln, with other destroyers and fighter jets. These military assets started moving from the Asia-Pacific region to the Middle East last week.

It is to be noted that UN nuclear watchdog has not checked Iran’s highly enriched uranium stockpile for at least seven months. As per protocol, inspections are supposed to happen every month.
Anti-government protests in Iran started in late December over economic hardship, price hike, among other issues. According to Human Rights Activists News Agency, over 4,500 protesters were killed during the unrest.
Iranian officials said more than 5,000 people were killed, including hundreds of security forces.
