Where Web3 Builders Become a Community: Inside the Kwala HackerHouse

Innovation took center stage at the Kwala HackerHouse, a community-driven builder event hosted at MAI Labs in Delhi NCR. Over 150+ developers came together to build, learn, and collaborate on ideas shaping the next wave of Web3 innovation.

From the first line of code to the final evaluation, the energy in the room reflected what Kwala stands for: empowering builders with the clarity, support, and freedom to create without friction.

A Platform for Builders

The Kwala HackerHouse is more than a hackathon. It is a community-led initiative designed to bring developers, mentors, and innovators together under one roof. The goal is to help them transform ideas into live, deployable applications using Kwala’s Web3 workflow automation platform.

Throughout the day, teams built projects that showcased how Web3 can simplify real-world challenges through automation, smart contracts, and cross-chain logic. Mentors from Kwala and the wider blockchain ecosystem were available across the floor, guiding participants on technical design, execution, and presentation.

This culture of mentorship has become a defining part of the HackerHouse experience. It ensures that participants do not just compete but also grow, learn, and leave with a deeper understanding of how to build better systems.

The Vision Behind the Movement

During his address, Tapan Sangal, Chief Visionary behind Kwala, spoke about India(BHARAT)’s immense potential in the global technology landscape.

He highlighted a striking contrast:

“India(BHARAT) represents 28 percent of the world’s tech skill set, yet contributes only 3 percent to global digital wealth. Skill is not the problem. We must create the infrastructure, protocols, and digital systems that the world will depend on next.”

He emphasised that India(BHARAT)’s developers should not remain mere consumers of technology. Instead, they can become the architects of global digital infrastructure by building foundational tools such as automation layers, smart contract systems, and interoperable blockchain components.

This belief reflects Kwala’s mission: to equip India(BHARAT)’s vast talent pool with the infrastructure needed to build the next generation of Web3 systems.

Turning Effort Into Impact

The results of that mission were on full display during the event’s evaluations. Teams showcased a range of projects: from automated NFT workflows to blockchain-based data verification tools.

Among the standout projects, CityAlert took top honours as one of the three rewarded teams. Developed by Team Cracked Black, CityAlert is a blockchain-based emergency response system that brings transparency, speed, and accountability to city-level incidents. Every action is recorded on-chain, ensuring tamper-proof and verifiable updates.

What made this win remarkable was the team’s journey. Just six weeks earlier, Cracked Black placed third in the first edition of the HackerHouse. With consistent mentor support and a commitment to improve, they returned with a solution that delivers real social impact.

As one participant shared:

“The mentorship at Kwala HackerHouse was unmatched. The guidance we received helped us refine our thinking and build more confidently.”

Other projects demonstrated the breadth of creativity:

Proof of Presence
A Web3-based attendance tracker that uses Kwala to automate NFT minting for participants. By validating wallets directly, it removes the possibility of proxy attendance and ensures secure, tamper-proof records.

ChainMind
A decentralized mental health tracker that uses blockchain for data ownership and privacy. Kwala automations power wellness rewards, streak-based NFT incentives, and alerts for declining engagement or mood trends. It showcased how Web3 can extend into wellness, healthcare, and behavioural systems.

These projects made one thing clear: Web3, when supported by the right infrastructure, can deliver real-world impact far beyond finance.

A Growing Builder Community

This second edition of Kwala HackerHouse saw participation nearly triple compared to the first. The rise in both numbers and project quality showed how India(BHARAT)’s Web3 developer ecosystem is evolving rapidly, and how platforms like Kwala are enabling that growth.

For Kwala, the event was not just about coding. It was about proving that with the right environment, mentorship, and platform, builders can turn ambitious ideas into impactful realities.

Building the Future, Together

The Kwala HackerHouse video captures the essence of the day: collaboration, curiosity, and the quiet thrill of building something that matters.

Kwala’s vision remains clear: to make Web3 development effortless for builders by letting infrastructure fade into the background. The HackerHouse is a reflection of that vision, where learning meets execution and every workflow written becomes a step toward a better, more connected Web3.

Kwala continues to stand as a partner to builders, helping them turn ideas into impact, one workflow at a time.
