Ajit Pawar, who on Wednesday morning died in a plane crash, was travelling to Baramati from Mumbai to address public meetings as part of the campaign for the February 5 zilla parishad elections in the state. There were five persons on board when the aircraft crashed at 8.50 am, a police official said. Ajit Pawar’s immediate family consists of 4 members, including him, his wife Sunetra Pawar, his elder son Parth, and his younger son Jay.

Jai is the younger son of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
