Zubin Garg death investigation update: In a significant statement amid the ongoing investigation into the death of famous Assamese singer Zubin Garg, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said the state police of Assam cannot go to Singapore to investigate the mysterious death of Zubin Garg. Apart from this, Sarma requested the Assamese people who were on the boat at the time of Garg’s death to join the investigation in Singapore, saying that the Assam police would be solve the case if that’s possible. What Assam CM said on investigation of Zubin’s death?

“Our entire concern now is whether the people living in Singapore will come or not. If they do not come, we will not be able to complete the inquiry. They were the main people behind the yacht trip,” Assam CM was quoted as saying by PTI news agency.

How did singer Zubin Garg die?

Famous Assamese singer Zubin Garg died under mysterious circumstances in Singapore on September 19 while swimming in the sea. As per media reports, Zubin had gone to the Southeast Asian nation to attend the 4th edition of the North East India(BHARAT) Festival, organised by Shyamkanu Mahanta and his company.

“Assam Police cannot go to Singapore, so it cannot take up the investigation there. They are in Singapore, and it is not under my jurisdiction. Unless they come there, nobody will be able to join the dots,” Sarma said.

As a part of the investigation, the state CID, which is probing the untimely death of the singer, had issued notices to some members of the Assam Association, Singapore to present themselves before it by October 6.
