Bihar Assembly Election Result 2025: Popular folk-singer and BJP candidate Maithili Thakur is heading towards a historic win from Bihar Alinagar assembly constituency as she leading by over 8,000 votes, according to latest Election Commission trends. In her first reaction, Maithili said her probable win felt “like a dream”, and vowed to live up to the people’s expectations and serve as “their daughter”.
“This is like a dream. People have a lot of expectations of me… This will be my first term as an MLA, and I will do my best for my constituency… I will serve my people as their daughter… I can only see Alinagar right now and how I can work them…” ANI quoted Maithili Thakur as saying.
According to latest trends, Maithili Thakur is leading by 9,450 votes, securing 46,680 votes in Alinagar, while her closest rival, RJD’s Binod Mishra trails with 37,230 votes. The 25-year-old folk singer is set to script history by becoming the youngest MLA in Bihar.
Meanwhile, the JD(U)-BJP combine is poised to register a landslide victory in the Bihar Assembly Election, as the incumbent NDA regime is leading on 200 seats, amid a dismal outing by the Congress-RJD Mahagathbandhan who are leading on just 38 seats, according to latest counting data.
Bihar assembly election was held in two phases, with Alinagar going to polls in the first phase on November 6.
