You won’t believe what Karan Johar wants his children to do, he chooses this profession over acting, directing and producing, it is…

Karan Johar is considered a brand that launches star kids. Having launched everyone from Alia Bhatt to Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor into the film industry, he doesn’t want his children to become actors, directors, or producers. Instead, he wants his children to become designers and hairstylists because they offer more money.

Karan Johar wants his children to take up this profession, not actor, director, or producer

In a recent interview, Karan Johar revealed this. In an interview with Game Changer, Karan said, “Don’t tell me anything about the fees makeup and hair artists charge these days. Actually, I want Roohi and Yash to become makeup and hair artists because they earn more money than others. One doing hair and the other makeup would be very beneficial for both.”

The Budget of the Actors Was Also Discussed

Karan also spoke about the expensive entourage actors often travel with, emphasizing ethical concerns rather than financial ones. “I think our budget is this much because we’re businessmen. If you need more people, you can give them that. But if you’re a regular hero, your job is to look good. We give some actors a budget and tell them that’s all there is to it. If you want to go beyond that, do it yourself. Why do 6–8 people travel with you?”

You Must Bear the Expenses Yourself

He further said that for sports biopics or dramas, where the actors’ bodies are constantly visible on screen, producers can make special arrangements. But for regular films, if the actors are already earning hefty fees, they should manage the extras themselves.

Karan became a single parent in 2017 after giving birth to twins, Roohi and Yash, through surrogacy. Since then, he has shared glimpses of his parenting journey on social media, often featuring fun banter between him and his children. The renowned director-producer has spoken openly about single parenthood and revealed that his mother, Hiroo Johar, helps him raise the children.
