Zubeen Garg’s Death Update: In yet another update surrounding Zubeen Garg’s death, the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sharma, on Tuesday gave a statement. He said that the death of Zubeen was not accidental but ‘plain and simple murder’. Ever since Garg passed away in Singapore, several people have been arrested by the police. The manager and event organiser had also been accused of poisoning him in Singapore. However, Himanta Sarma’s statement has sparked fresh debate around the issue.

What did CM Himanta Biswa Sarma say?

The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, on Tuesday in the Assembly, said the death of Zubeen Garg was not accidental but a ‘plain and simple murder’. He stated, “One of the accused killed Garg, and others helped him. Four to five people are being booked in the murder case.”

He highlighted that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested seven individuals in the death case of Zubeen Garg, along with examining 252 witnesses. He gave a strong statement: “One of the accused killed Garg, and others helped him. Four to five people are being booked in the murder case,” mentioning that the chargesheet will be submitted in December.

He closed his address by saying, “Then, the probe will be expanded to include negligence, criminal breach of trust and other aspects; the motive behind the crime will shock the people of the state.”

Zubeen Garg’s Death

The popular Bollywood and Assamese singer passed away on September 19 in Singapore. With initial reports of drowning, the case soon took a different angle when the focus shifted to the accused manager and event organiser for allegedly poisoning him. However, the Singapore Police denied any suspicions of foul play.
