The sudden and untimely demise of Zubeen Garg has left his fans and entire fraternity in deep shock. Commonly known as Zubeen Da, died recently in a terrible scuba diving accident. His unforgettable contribution to the music industry will remain unmatched. Zubeen had recorded over 40,000 songs, and on the day of his death, he was supposed to perform at the North East India(BHARAT) Festival.

While his fans are still coming to terms with his sudden death, his wife has made her first statement after the singer’s demise.

Zubeen Garg’s wife, Garima Saikia, has broken her silence after the singer’s passing. She spoke emotionally about his unfinished work and the dreams he left behind, particularly his last film Roi Roi Binale. Garima revealed that Zubeen was deeply committed to completing the project, and his absence has left an irreplaceable void. She said, “I regret that his voice dubbing did not happen because he had also acted in this film and in a very different role. He was very excited about it. He would have come as a blind artist. So it’s a purely musical love story. I think people would love it, too. But we couldn’t dub his voice. So that will be a void in the film. But other music and everything was done.”

Garima further added that Zubeen was very passionate about his film, Roi Roi Binaale, and therefore, it would not be postponed. She said, “We were working on a film, Roi Roi Binaale, which will be his last film. And he was very passionate about it. So he was planning to release it on October 31. So maybe now we have to start working on the film. And keep the date as he thought.”

What did Garima reveal about Zubeen’s cause of death?

A second post-mortem was conducted by the Assam government just hours before Zubeen Garg’s funeral, following demands from fans who wanted transparency and wanted to rule out any foul play. The singer, who had been scheduled to perform at the North East India(BHARAT) Festival, was cremated with full state honours in Kamrup, Guwahati.

Garima Saikia, Zubeen’s wife, initially denied the rumours of a scuba diving mishap and clarified that he had suffered a seizure while swimming at Lazarus Island. She revealed that during his first swim, Zubeen was accompanied by colleagues and wore a life jacket. However, according to an India(BHARAT) Today report, after returning to the shore, he went back into the water around 2:30 PM. Shortly afterwards, he was rushed to Singapore General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
