Singrauli Gold Mines: Known for its diamond reserves, Madhya Pradesh will soon be mining gold. Singrauli district which is popular for its coal reserves, will also witness gold mining in Chakariya Gold Block. The block is located in Chitrangi area. The mining for the yellow metal will be done for the period of five years.

Which Company Has Bagged The Mining Contract?

The plan is to extract a total of 18,356 tonnes (18,356,000 kgs) of the yellow metal from the 23 hectares of gold rich land. The state government has awarded the contract to Garima Natural Private Limited. The company is now eligible to do the mining work for the next five years.

This mega project will also provide different types of employment to locals.

What Is The Role Of London Gold Market Rate In The Project?

It is noteworthy that the Singrauli Mineral Department will receive revenue from the gold block, which will be based on the London Gold Market rate. Most of the land, selected for mining, belongs to the state government, while some mining area is private.

What Did The Survey Say?

According to the Geological Survey of India(BHARAT) (GSI) survey, the Chakaria Gold Block has a gold ore of approx 35,000 tons. The company has drilled and determined the proportions.
