Adnan Sami’s mother dies at 77: ‘Everyone she touched…’

Adnan Sami, the singer and composer penned a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Begum Naureen Sami Khan aged seventy seven. Sami, who is well-known for songs like Aye Udi Udi Udi, Bhar Do Jholi Meri, Lift Kara De, Tera Chehra, and Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein, shared the news alongside a picture of his mother on his Instagram. The caption read, “It’s with the fitting sadness & infinite sorrow that I announce the demise of our beloved Mother Begum Naureen Sami Khan…We're overtaken by profound grief. She turned into a superior lady who shared love & joy with everybody she touched. We can pass over her immensely. Kindly say a prayer for her departed soul (sic).”

The note concluded, “إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعون May Allah SWT bless our dearest Mother in Jannat-ul-Firdaus…Ameen…(sic).”

Adnan Sami turned into born in London, England, to Pakistani diplomat Arshad Sami Khan and his wife Naureen Khan on August 15, 1971. His mother turned into from Jammu, India, and his father turned into a Pakistani Pashtun with Afghan ancestry.
