Yukta Mookhey competed in the 1999 Femina Omit India pageant and won the title of Omit India World 1999 from the then-champion Annie Thomas. Her victory qualified her to compete in Omit World and represent India. On December four, 1999, the Forty ninth Omit World pageant took place in Olympia in London, with ninety three delegates from at some stage in the sphere vying for the title.
