After Delhi, CAR BLAST near Islamabad District Court in Pakistan, 12 killed
At least 12 people were killed after a powerful explosion in ripped through a car near Islamabad judicial complex on Tuesday.
Islamabad: At least 12 people were killed and several others sustained injuries as a powerful explosion struck near the Islamabad Judicial Complex on Tuesday afternoon, Samaa TV reported, citing local police. The blast was so intense that the sound was heard a kilometer away, causing panic among the people. Security forces, including police and emergency teams, rushed to the site and initiated the rescue operation while cordoning off the area.
According to the local police, the blast occurred in vehicles parked in the district court’s parking area. The injured people have been shifted to PIMS hospitals for medical treatment, Samaa TV reported.
Authorities and bomb disposal specialists are investigating the debris to determine if the explosion resulted from a detonated device, a gas cylinder, or a mechanical issue.
