After Shah Rukh Khan, Richa Chadha receives THIS prestigious award
Actress Richa Chadha recently joined the league of legendary personalities including Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Oscar winner Guneet Monga as she has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Chevalier Des Arts et des Lettres’. The award is one of the highest honours that the French government gives to esteemed artists for their contribution to cinema, arts and fashion across the world. The Fukrey 3 actress was presented the award by the Counsel General of France to India in a momentous event organised in Mumbai on 28 October.
As Richa Chadha received the honour, she dropped a post on her Instagram handle expressing her contentment. The post was accompanied by a video of the actress as she received the award. Dressed in a violet bodycon dress featuring a plunging neckline and dramatic full sleeves, Richa exuded class and charm.
She captioned her post, “Thank you Counsel General Jean Marc for bestowing this incredible honour upon me… ‘Chevalier des arts et des letters’ on behalf of the French Republic! It was a night of magic, I was surrounded by people who love me, care for me and have stood by me in tough times! Will post the speech and other photos in a bit, special thanks to the vivacious Juliette Grandmont for everything you’ve done! A special night, that I am still reeling from… thank you to all who could come and those who couldn’t make it, please send love! My parents, my guru @itsbarryjohn and my husband… all we’re by my side… thank you. A big overwhelmed feeling emo … here’s a video from Ali’s phone!”
In her decade-long career, Richa has defied norms and expectations with her performances in critically acclaimed films like Masaan. For those unversed, the Indo-French production Masaan clinched two awards at the Cannes Film Festival.
Richa’s last released film, Fukrey 3, grossed a collection worth Rs 100 crore. The film is the third installment of the comedy film Fukrey. It boasts an ensemble cast including Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, and Pankaj Tripathi.
Meanwhile, the actress is all set for her next release, Netflix’s Heera Mandi which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
