Akshay Kumar takes metro to avoid Mumbai traffic, hides his face with mask and cap

Following many other Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shraddha Kapoor, and Hrithik Roshan, actor Akshay Kumar a.k.a. the ‘Khiladi Kumar of Bollywood’ was also seen taking the Mumbai Metro. To beat traffic woes, the 55-year-old actor was recently spotted travelling in the Mumbai metro like a common man. In a video going viral on social media, Akshay can be seen sitting inside the metro while other co-passengers remain unaware.

Shared by the actor’s fan page on social media, the video, seemingly captured by an eagle-eyed fan on the metro, shows Akshay seated alongside producer Dinesh Vijan. He chose a casual all-black outfit while keeping his face hidden with a mask. The two were seated near the door and wanted to avoid attention.

Going by the reports, it is being said that a few passengers managed to recognise him after some time and were quite happy with such a wonderful surprise. Some also took selfies with him.

The viral video also caught the attention of fans all over the internet, as it was widely shared this morning. Notably, this is not the first time an actor was spotted travelling in a metro. Earlier, during the promotion of his film ‘Selfiee‘, Akshay along with his co-star Emraan Hashmi, was seen entering a Mumbai metro station and engaging with fans. He also joined a flash mob to dance to their film’s song ‘Main Khiladi‘.

Actors who took the metro to beat traffic woes

In October last year, Hrithik Roshan was spotted taking a metro to reach his action shoot in Mumbai. He not only interacted with the fans but also took pictures with them. The actor also shared the photos on his Instagram handle.

Actress Hema Malini has also taken a ride in the Mumbai metro and also an auto. Other stars like Sara Ali Khan, Vidyut Jammwal, Vivek Agnihotri, Shraddha Kapoor, Salman Khan, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui have also been spotted ditching their luxury rides and going for public transport.
