Alia Bhatt Is All Hearts After Her Performance in Kalank’s Song ‘Ghar More Pardesiya’ Gets Special Shoutout from The Academy

Alia Bhatt has always managed to captivate the hearts of her fans. Over her career span, Alia has portrayed several roles, and one was Roop Chaudhary from Abhishek Varman’s 2019 period romance Kalank. Though the movie did not do well on the big screens, it has now received a shoutout from The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences five years later. A clip from film one of the Ghar More Pardesiya, featuring Alia Bhatt was shared on the official handle of The Academy. 

Taking to the social media platform, The Academy shared the song clip with the caption, “Alia Bhatt performing ‘Ghar More Pardesiya’ (vocals by Shreya Ghoshal with Vaishali Mhade) from the film ‘Kalank.’ Directed by Abhishek Varman. Starring Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha. Song composed by Pritam Chakraborty. Lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.”

After The Academy’s post, Alia is all heart for the appreciation she has received. The actor in response, took to her Instagram stories and reposted the dance video shared by The Academy. Alia dropped in a bundle of emojis that included a sun and heart. She also tagged the team of Kalank

As soon as the video went online, cinephiles took no time to spam the comment section with their appreciation and excitement. A lot of users praised Alia for her dancing skills. An Instagram user commented, “Alia bhatt’s performance has been spectacular in every movie she’s done.”  Another user commented, “Alia literally is the biggest female Indian superstar right now.” Another said, “Beautiful song (red heart emojis) and choreography.”

Fans couldn’t stop but mention how the Academy earlier featured Deepika Padukone’s song ‘Deewani Mastani‘ sung by Shreya Ghoshal. And, even Ghar More Pardesiya is also rendered by Shreya.
